How it works

Consult to switch-on in 4 to 6 weeks

Five steps, one crew, one point of contact from the first call to power on.

  1. Consult

A 45 minute call and roof review from satellite imagery. We map shading and size a system to your bill.

  2. Design

You get a panel layout, a kWh production estimate, and one fixed price signed off by a NABCEP-certified designer.

  3. Permit

We file the city or county permit and the SMUD or PG&E interconnection application, and track both to approval.

  4. Install

An in-house crew mounts racking, panels, inverter, and battery. Most homes are finished in one day.

  5. Activate

City inspection, utility permission to operate, then we energize the system and set up your monitoring app.

Why Sunbank

25 year coverage

Panels, inverters, and labor are covered for 25 years. Roof penetrations carry a 10 year leak warranty.

Local permitting

We handle SMUD and PG&E interconnection and city permits in-house, so you are not chasing paperwork.

Owner reports

What owners report after switch-on

★★★★★

Our July SMUD bill went from $268 to $19. The crew was on the roof by 7 am and gone by 3 pm, and the yard was tidier than they found it.

Karen M.Homeowner, Roseville
★★★★★

Sunbank quoted $2,100 under two national companies and put the panel layout and production numbers in writing before we signed anything.

Diego R.Homeowner, Elk Grove
★★★★★

The battery kept the fridge, router, and one AC zone running through a summer outage. The app flagged it before I noticed the lights.
